Dear Parent/ Guardian,

Thanks to all who took the time to complete the survey sent to you last week regarding mock examinations. The results from parents, students and staff were collated and the majority of people voted to postpone the mocks to a later date. Mock exams will now be held the week beginning March 8th. 

This decision was made based on the assumption that the Junior Cycle is going ahead and we will return to school on February 1st. If this is not the case, we will review the best course of actions for our students again. 

We are very aware of the stress that formal exams can cause students and wish to make it clear that the focus of mock exams this year will be on exam structure, layout and timing. Teachers are aware of the difficulties our 3rd Years may face when undertaking these exams due to lost contact time and will be understanding of this when preparing students for exams and giving feedback.
