School Communication:
Unfortunately, due to building works, our phonelines will be inactive from Monday the 23rd of August. Please direct all queries to info@clonturkcc.cdetb.ie which will be monitored fully during school hours.
Student Induction:
To support student transition back to Clonturk all of our Year Heads will be hosting a live presentation (30 minutes) on the morning of each year groups induction. We would encourage all parents/guardians to attend were possible. There will be a small opportunity for questions & answers at the end of the session. Times relevant to each year group and a zoom link will be sent prior to Induction.
Parent/Teacher Meetings:
Due to the impact of Covid of the last school year, we have been unable to meet and discuss student progress as desired. This year we have brought in procedures that will ensure parent/teacher meetings can take place via zoom should Covid restrictions impact on face-to-face meetings. In a further attempt to correct this, we have commited additional time to meetings.
*PARENT/GUARDIAN/TUTOR & STUDENT MEETING FOR ALL YEAR GROUPS TAKES PLACE ON THURSDAY THE 9TH OF SEPTEMBER 16.15 – 18.45.
Student lates and Attendance:
Clonturk will begin to send a text home to report on student absences each day. Families will be alerted before 9.30am on any student that has not presented to class by 8.40am. Please ensure the school has correct contact details for this communication.
Resource Fee:
Each year we request a resource fee from families to cover the cost of School Journals, Extra-Curricular Activities, Standardised Testing and Supplementary Materials for Optional Subjects. This resource fee of €100 can be paid online, cheque or postal order (unfortunately we cannot accept cash). If by cheque/postal order it will need to be made out to CDETB-Clonturk. For online payment you will be required to setup an account. Detail can be found on the link below:

School Building News:
We are happy to announce that we have received correspondence from the Department of Education for the ‘provision of a new permanent one thousand pupil school plus special needs provision for Clonturk on its current site.’ We would like to send a thank you to all of our families, specifically the buildings sub committee (PGTA & Board of Management) on all of their hard work and campaigning. We will send on further information as we receive it.
Currently, building work is ongoing for our new modular accommodation. This includes 2 Science rooms, 1 technology, 1 woodwork room, 1 music room, 1 art room, 12 classrooms and additional bathroom facilities. This should be available for use by the school in February 2022. In the meantime, an agreement has been made with Plunkett college for the temporary use of additional classrooms and Art room.
